These mitts belong to : Norwegian fashion and textile designer, teacher, visible mender, and 2015 Det Store Symesterskapet finalist (that's The Great Norwegian Sewing Bee as, of course, you know), and when I spotted them on , I had to put them up here. They remind me of  but they come directly down the family line. They're "knitted and mended by my grandmother once upon a time," says Eva. "Nowadays it's pretty much considered art. Two generations ago it was just a normal part of life." 

Amen to that.
